Bakewell Pudding: An irresistible treat…

Just a quick one on this, as I don’t have a lot of photos, but I certainly have been to this place a LOT (well, OK… maybe 3 or 4 times, but for a place that’s hundreds of miles away from me – that’s quite a lot, considering there are local restaurants I’ve been to less).

So everyone’s heard of a Bakewell Tart (thanks largely to Mr Kipling, I guess) – but not everyone’s heard of a Bakewell Pudding.

It’s more of a cakey-sponge, than the tart, and is topped with custardy mix. In fact, if you’re interested, just have a read here.

So… there’s a place (which I linked to) which serves it up, and they have a lovely outdoor seating area where you can get a great afternoon tea, and of course, a bakewell pudding.

Quite simply – if you find yourself in the Peak District – MAKE THE TRIP! It’s awesome, and totally worth it.
